To continue with my French theme this week, I watched ‘The Little Paris Kitchen’ on the telly tonight. It’s a half hour cooking show where London-born cook and writer Rachel Khoo demonstrates her simple, classic French recipes.
I loved the show and am insanely jealous of Rachel Khoo. She lives in Paris, has a little restaurant in her tiny apartment, has a great fringe, writes about food and has a couple of cookbooks and a new TV show under her belt. Can I be her for just one day please?! Watch the show next week on Thursday at 8pm on SBS.
I’m inspired by Rachel because (according to her website) she worked in PR and e-marketing for a luxury brand in London before taking off to Paris to study a degree at Le Cordon Bleu (now why didn’t I do that last year when I went through my quarter-life crisis?) She worked at a bookstore and tea salon (the perfect hangout in my opinion) where she created sweet treats, taught cookery classes and provided catering for cooking book launches and somehow along the way, she wrote a couple of cookbooks and got a TV show! Lucky, lucky girl.
Oh and see her blog post here for some Aussie cooking history – I found it very informative!
PS I took the photos from her website, link above.
