If you are looking for a spicy breakfast option, head to Delicado Foods at McMahon’s point for their signature dish, the Huevas Paellaras. The dish is simply two baked eggs with a spicy, tomato-ey sauce in a small paella dish. Choose the vegetarian option with spinach (like I did) or a manly meaty version with cured Spanish ham (like Boyfriend did).
The deli is located on the corner of Blues Point Road, just near a bottle shop. You can sit inside near the deli counter or in their outdoor section at the back of the restaurant. Or you can people watch while sitting at tables set up on the pavement outside the deli, under large leafy trees.
We sat outside and enjoyed the last of the summer air. His coffee in a cute mug and my tea in a pretty teacup came to our table quickly, and the delicious breakfasts followed soon after. We were sadly too full
to order the churros for dessert. I’ll have to remember to save some room for dessert next time.
If you’re not in the mood for something spicy, there are plenty of other regular breakfast options to choose from like plain eggs or fruit toast.
Try it soon… the signature dish is a very good option for the coming colder months.
