Tea with Maadhavi

Hello and welcome to ‘Tea with Maadhavi’!

If you have been following me for a while, you would know that this blog space was ‘My Pretty Sydney’.  I changed the blog’s name last month because I want the freedom to write about topics other than Sydney.  I want to write about travel, mindfulness and meditation, health and well being and books.  All the topics that I feel passionate about at the moment.

I started ‘My Pretty Sydney’ when I was in my late 20s, single and had just moved back from Hong Kong. It was a creative space to write about discovering new restaurants, bars and things to do in Sydney.  I had more energy and time.  I had a different mindset and outlook on life.

I’m now 30-something and about to be married.  I don’t go out to restaurants as much because I prefer to cook healthy meals at home.  I don’t go to bars much anymore because I gave up drinking in January 2017.  I have less energy and time as my job and life becomes more demanding as I get older.  I meditate daily and try to live mindfully to manage stress and gain energy.  But I’m happier and content in my 30s than I was in my 20s.

I want to share snippets and advice from my life right now.  I may blog about a new café or a day out in Sydney – but I would like to also blog about all the other things I am interested in now that have nothing to do with Sydney.  I want you to feel like you are sharing a cup of tea with me as I tell you about these things.  Which is why I have called this space ‘Tea with Maadhavi’.

I also love tea.  Below are a selection of tea pics from my media gallery.

I hope you enjoy the next phase of this journey with me!
